Satrah 3D Safety and Care Guide
Our fidgets, dragons, sensory prints and cookie cutters are made to be used, displayed and gifted. This guide covers age advice, safety notes and how to look after your Pocket Pals, 3D printed dragons and cookie cutters so they keep looking and working their best.
Age and choking hazard
Contains small parts: choking hazard. Not suitable for children under 3. For ages 3 to 6, an adult should supervise play at all times.
Our prints are fidgets and collectables, not certified toys. If a child still puts things in their mouth, wait until they have grown out of it. If a part breaks and causes injury, stop using the item and seek medical advice.
Material and durability
We print most items in PLA, a plant-based plastic that holds fine detail and bright colour. PLA is strong, but it is not unbreakable.
- Bend joints the way they are designed to move. Forcing a joint sideways can snap it.
- New joints can feel stiff. Move them gently and they loosen with use.
- Check pieces now and then. Broken edges can be sharp.
Heat and sunlight
PLA softens above about 50°C. A parked car in an Australian summer gets much hotter than that, so never leave prints on a dashboard or in a hot car. They can warp in minutes.
Long stretches in direct sunlight also fade colours over time. A shelf out of the afternoon sun keeps them bright.
Products with magnets
Some fidgets, like the Magnetic Fidget Slider, contain small magnets. Swallowed magnets are a serious danger to children. Keep these well away from young kids and check them for loose parts.
Caring for fidgets and dragons
- Dust with a soft, dry cloth.
- Skip water, cleaners and sprays. They can dull the finish and get stuck in joints.
- Store in a cool, dry place when not in use.
Caring for cookie cutters
- Wash by hand in warm (not hot) soapy water.
- Dry straight away and store flat.
- No dishwasher. The heat can warp PLA.
- Use them for cutting dough, not for storing food.
